The Bronze group is designed for swimmers ages 7-11 who are new to competitive swimming and who need to develop adequate endurance for participation in swimming on a year round level. Swimmers will work on developing good turns and starts as well as beginning race strategy. Practices will focus on stroke technique, reiteration through aerobic work and developing racing skills specific to shorter races.
Ability Requirements:
Swimmers in this group must, at a minimum, be water-safe for 30 minutes and must be able to swim 200 yards freestyle continuously while breathing to the side. Each of these swimmers must also be able to complete a 25 of all four strokes with decent legality. However, the more advanced swimmers in this group will have solid knowledge of all four strokes, but may be experiencing serious competitive swimming for the first time. Swimmers younger than 7 must be approved by the coaching staff as being above and beyond the normal skill level for their age.
Practice Requirements:
Attend no more than 3 workouts per week
Come prepared to workout each and every day.

While we do not require boys to wear jammers (racing swimsuits), it is strongly recommended to best improved technique

Meet Requirements:
No meets are required, but age/ability appropriate meets are made available. In order to move up to Silver, swimmers must participate in one meet and must make all requirements for participation in Silver.

While Outdoor Pool Open: Monday - Friday 515-615p; Saturday 1030-12p
Once Outdoor Pool Closes (~11/1): M-F 530-630p; Saturday 1030-12p
