The Colorado Athletic Club Stingrays, a USA Swimming Team, offers year-round training, competition and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Colorado Athletic Club Stingrays to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. There is a place for EVERY swimmer on the CAC Stingrays – provided they make the minimum level of swimming proficiency as this is not a learn-to-swim program.
Placement in training groups is based on grade level in school. However, coaches may opt to move a swimmer into a lower training group better suited to their swimming ability if necessary for the athlete’s optimal performance and learning setting. Athletes will not move beyond their grade level and ANY moves will only occur within the first three week of the SCY season and the first week of LCM Season.
Swimmers participating in a Level 1 (Competitive) training group below are expected to participate & compete year-round from August 2013 until July 2014. If your swimmer is not interested in year round participation or if the practice commitment for that group is too high – please let the coaches know to place them into our Level 2 (Developmental Track).
All interested swimmers will be required to have a club membership affiliated with their family for participation with the exception of 3-month Senior 2 memberships.Senior 2 Swimmers looking to swim for more than 3 months are required to join the team. First time Stingrays ONLY. *To continue in the fall, swimmers will need to be members of the club.
Swimmers will need to register online with the cacstingrays.com for USA Swimming Insurance Coverage. Additional fee of $75 ($60 USA Swimming + $15 CAC Booster Club Website fee) per swimmer.

August 2013-July 2014
Registration for the 2013-2014 season will begin July 1stfor returning stingrays and July 15thfor new Stingrays. All registration occurs through our team website at www.cacstingrays.com. If you would like to be on the notification list for new Stingrays or if you would like your swimmer to be assessed by one of the coaches – please contact Head Coach Alexis Keto at aketo@wellbridge.com.
General Fees
One-time (yearly) registration fee: $200 per swimmer
Second swimmer is $185 - no website fee
[USA Swimming Registration - Individual & Team ($65) + Team T-shirt, 2 caps ($20) + Social Fees ($20) + Misc. Operating Budget ($80)+ Website fee ($15)]
Monthly dues: Club monthly dues + monthly participation with Swim Team (varies by group)
Please note:ALL swimmers must be active members of Colorado Athletic Club (or on LOA) in order to register for the 2013-14 season.
We hold two introductory stroke technique clinics in late August to review stroke drills, swim lingo and continue group assessment as needed for new & returning swimmers.
Limit is 25 swimmers per age group – these sessions are limited to CAC registered athletes only.
